    Why do we have religions?

    1. So Satan can compete with the one true church… and so those in the false churches can make money.

    2. In my opinion: humans (as a generalization) have just always been so superstitious and self-assertive. We believe that we can ascertain and explain almost everything with little to no evidence sometimes on just more or less a gut feeling. There have been so many ‘facts’ have been proven wrong over the years that once no one questioned to prove this.

Sometimes when people say faith is there reason for following a religion and it sends chills up my spine, surely there is something more than what’s usually only just a book to go on.

    3. Because we fear death, and every religion provides some kind of a stupid life-after-death theory.

    4. Because people need to have something to believe in.
